How to give a JoyPass

Create a pass for something you’d like to give someone, send them the link, and arrange the gift between you. They can keep the pass in Apple Wallet.

Step 01

Choose what you’ll give

Name the gift, choose a color theme, and set how many times it can be used. It could be dinner together or a weekend of babysitting. Your first 3 passes are free to send.

Step 02

Send the gift link

Share their gift link by text or email. They can open it and add their gift pass to Apple Wallet without creating a JoyPass account.

Reveal dates

Choose when they see the gift

Set a reveal date to hide the gift details until a birthday, Christmas morning, or another day you choose. You can send the link ahead of time; they’ll see who it’s from and when it opens.

Step 03

Redeem your gift

The sender provides the gift. When the recipient is ready to use it, arrange the details together and record a use on the pass.

Experience passes

Keep track of uses for gifts like “Dinner date” or “One weekend of babysitting.” Open the App Clip from the pass to redeem a use.

Optional gift value

Display an amount, such as a $25 lunch budget, as part of your gift. JoyPass does not hold or transfer that money. The sender arranges payment separately.
