Welcome to JoyPass
These terms apply to your use of the JoyPass app, App Clip, website, and related services provided by JoyPass LLC. By using JoyPass, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Our privacy policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, and your choices. JoyPass does not show ads or sell personal information, and we have no plans to introduce advertising.
Your account and conduct
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You must be legally able to agree to these terms, with a parent or guardian’s involvement where required by law.
Use JoyPass lawfully and respect other people. Do not use it for fraud, impersonation, harassment, threats, unlawful or exploitative content, infringement of others’ rights, or attempts to bypass security or access another person’s private information. Do not upload content you lack permission to share.
You can report a profile or pass using the available in-app controls, block another user, or contact support. We may review reports, remove content, or restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect users, or meet legal obligations. Contact us if you believe a decision was made in error.
Gifts are promises between people
A JoyPass is a digital representation of a gift or experience promised by its sender. We provide tools to create, share, plan, and track it. The people involved are responsible for arranging and fulfilling the actual gift or experience.
An amount displayed on a pass describes the sender’s promise. It is not money held by JoyPass, a bank balance, a payment transfer, or a merchant-issued gift card. JoyPass does not hold or transfer funds between a sender and recipient to settle that promise. Any purchase of JoyPass’s own app features is separate, as explained below.
Confirm the details with each other, including availability, any costs, and any limits or expiry the sender sets. Marking a pass as redeemed records activity in JoyPass; it does not verify that a payment or experience actually occurred. We do not guarantee that another user will fulfill a promise or resolve a disagreement between participants.
Plans and reminders
Plan suggestions, accepted dates, locations, and reminders help you coordinate. They do not reserve a venue, buy a ticket, or create a booking with a third party. Accepting a plan is separate from redeeming a pass.
Notifications and Wallet updates depend on your settings, permissions, connectivity, and the services provided by Apple or Google for your device. They may be delayed or unavailable. Confirm important dates and arrangements directly with the other person.
Memories, photos, and sharing
You retain ownership of the content you create and upload, including gift messages, comments, memories, and photos. You give JoyPass a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content as needed to provide the service and share it with the audience you choose. Service providers may process it for those purposes. This permission does not allow us to sell your content or use it in advertising.
Only share content you have the right to share. Respect the privacy of people shown in photos or mentioned in a memory, and obtain permission where needed. Location and attendance details are information supplied by users; JoyPass does not independently verify who was present.
Memories saved on a pass are shared with its participants. You can edit or delete memories you added; another participant cannot delete your memory through their account. Archiving a pass changes how you organize it and does not remove someone else’s contributions. We may still remove content for the safety or legal reasons described above.
Review visibility settings before sharing. Public content can be seen by others, and someone with a gift link or code may be able to access or claim the gift. Deleting content cannot remove copies another person has already saved or shared. Keep your own copies of photos and memories that matter to you.
Purchases and app credits
JoyPass may offer paid features or credits for creating passes. The purchase screen explains the price and what is included. These purchases pay for JoyPass features, not for the experience promised on a pass. App credits are not a cash balance or a way to send money to another person.
Purchases made through Apple are handled by Apple and are subject to its purchase terms. You can request an eligible App Store refund through Apple. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase, your region, and applicable law. Refunded or revoked purchases may result in the corresponding credits or entitlement being removed.
Purchases made through Google Play are handled by Google and are subject to its purchase terms. See Google Play’s refund policy and request process. Pending payments do not provide passes until the store confirms payment. Refunded or revoked purchases may remove the corresponding unused passes.
If a purchase is missing or you need help with another billing issue, contact us. Nothing in these terms limits refund or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. Use of the App Store or Google Play app is also subject to the applicable store license terms.
Leaving JoyPass
You can stop using JoyPass or delete your account in the app’s account settings. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account. Deleting your account revokes sign-in access, removes credentials and notification registrations, clears your profile and friend connections, and marks your account as deleted. Your authored comments, thanks, reactions, and plan notes are removed; saved locations you proposed are cleared. Gifts you created are made private and their personal title and artwork are replaced with an anonymous presentation. Their remaining uses and redemption history are preserved for the other participant. Profile photos, uploaded activity photos, and authored memories are removed through our cleanup process.
Other participants’ contributions and necessary purchase, security, dispute-related support, and legal records may remain. Historical plan dates and redemption records can remain without your removed notes or location details.
You can also request deletion of your account and data on the web. Archiving a pass does not delete its shared history. Our privacy policy explains retention and deletion; contact us for help with information that cannot be removed through the app’s controls.
Availability and responsibility
We work to make JoyPass reliable, but features can be interrupted by maintenance, errors, or third-party outages. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, JoyPass is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or takes away your mandatory consumer rights.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms as JoyPass evolves. We will revise the date on this page and provide notice of material changes through an appropriate channel, such as the app or email. Where required, we will ask for your agreement before those changes apply.
